From inspiration pic to finished floor — custom color match + polyaspartic topcoat over metallic.
Client brought us a photo using AI based off of his interior counter tops. He said just “make it look like this.” Obviously, that can be dangerous as customer expectations is everything in some applications we do, especially in metallics. We custom-blended the pigments in-house to hit the tones as best we could and dropped the floor. Despite some topcoat challenges, we settled on a 100% polyaspartic topcoat by MatriX Products. → UV stability so the color doesn’t shift or yellow → Abrasion + chemical resistance for real-world traffic → Clarity and depth that makes the metallic pop instead of going flat Inspiration pic (last photo) vs. the real thing below 👇 Contractors — when a client hands you a photo instead of a color, what’s your process for nailing the match or setting expectations? Drop it in the comments. 👇

Play Time
Hey guys and Gals, had a couple hours this afternoon to start practicing on the shop floor. Just got done putting it down. As you can see I got a little poor happy with the product from one side to the other, and didn’t have enough white on one side and it cancelled it out basically. As you can see shop from gets used and abused and going over old flake finish. My main focus was to just get used to colour placement.
