Beyond Labels is a storytelling platform, community and movement created to show the person beyond the disability.
Too often, people are defined by a diagnosis, condition, support need or assumption before anyone takes the time to know them.
Beyond Labels exists to change that.
Through real stories, documentaries, interviews, videos and honest conversations, people with disabilities can share their lives in their own words, their challenges, achievements, humour, relationships, passions, goals and everyday experiences.
This community is a place to share stories, connect with others, challenge misconceptions, raise awareness, take part in future projects and help shape what Beyond Labels becomes.
Most importantly, we are not here to speak for people with disabilities. We are here to give people the platform to speak for themselves.
Every person carries a story the world may never see if it only looks at the label.
It’s time to look beyond it.
