1,000 New Followers! 🥳📸
Hi ladies, good morning ☀️
Just thought to drop this here for encouragement.
Last week, I posted a reel on Instagram, and since Friday, that one reel has brought me about 1,300 new followers! Honestly, I’ve been slaving on Instagram for 5 years, and I know how long it took me to get to 5K. I even posted a thank-you at 6,000 followers, and before I knew it, I was at 6,400. I’m so happy!
It hasn’t brought me any money (yet 😂), but it has brought me new eyes, and I know it will translate down the line. To think I posted the exact same video on YouTube, and it only has about 1,000 views, but on Instagram, it’s almost at 100,000!
Sometimes I have meltdowns, wondering if I’m doing the right thing, if I should stick to just French, or try other things, or if my efforts are even worth it. But then people DM me saying, “Your video made me laugh, thank you,” and I’m reminded: Just keep going.
The video only took me 5 minutes to shoot, but it resonated. It’s a reminder that if we don’t post, we won’t know what works. It doesn’t mean I will now repeat the same video 20,000 times 😂, but it showed me that my audience connects with this style, and I’ve decided to shoot similar fun videos maybe once a month just to keep testing.
If you’re in that space of wondering if your efforts matter, I hope this encourages you: Keep posting. Keep showing up. Something will resonate with someone somewhere.
