I have recommitted to doing more of what was working for me in the past RATHER than chasing new ways to generate leads on platforms that I have no following and little experience.
So the BIG TAKEAWAY (for everyone, not just those interested in LinkedIn) → Choose ONE platform to market your product or service.
Don't get distracted by the noise here on Skool or on socials!
There are literally THOUSANDS of ways to generate leads → the absolute worst thing you can do is dilute your efforts and jump around from one platform to another (like I did last year).
This probably cost me 6 months 😭
But after over a month of consistency, deploying the Rule of 300 on LinkedIn, I'm:
- - Learning how to get traction with my content
- - Finding the best ways to start a conversation
- - Discovering how to turn comments into connections and reach
BUT I'm a LONG way from nailing this.
This is a 30 day check-in to let you know that it was HARD getting to this point.
I was frustrated with crappy posts + no booked meetings.
That's a stark contrast to Wednesday when I booked 3 meetings in a day.
So my message to you is:
Do it and KEEP doing it until it works!!!!
---
Here's my story from the last 30 days with key learnings about the platform:
Since early Jan - I made 5 days of posting, engaging and outreach a non-negotiable!
THE TRUTH YOU MAY NOT WANT TO HEAR
↳ It's VERY rare that there are any hacks to generating traffic.
((Trust me I have tried to find them))
Some people get lucky BUT the majority of us only win with hard work.
Reps = learning = progression
You get better ONE step at a time...

My version of the Rule of 300:
The Weekend:
1) I look back at what worked and what didn't
2) I spend some "free" time on Linkedin, looking for inspiration and more insights on the platform
3) I plan out the content for the week
4) I knock out some of the content in advance (especially anything that requires work in Canva)
Then Every day Monday-Friday:
- 4:30-5(ish) → Finalise the content for the day's post
- 5(ish)-5:30 → "Warm Up" my LinkedIn before posting by engaging
- 5:30 → I post and add a few 📌 posts
- 5:30-6 → I continue to engage (prioritise replying to any comments on my post)
By that time the kids are usually waking up so I go be a dad (usually keeping an eye out for any comments to reply to)
The reason I do this so early is:
1. I've come to learn that this is the MOST important part of my day so I get it done first
2. No-one else is away to distract me
3. Being in Australia posting at 5:30am catches US & UK
Then I usually do an hour of "Sales & Networking" around 9am (assuming I have no meetings).
While I'm flexible with the time (I have an AI Calendar that prioritises my day), doing the hour is again non-negotiable.
During this time I:
- Reply to any DMs
- Connect + Reach out to any profiles that match my ICP and have engaged in my content
- Track down new leads and connect
---
PS. This post is already crazy long so if it resonates (let me know in the comments), I will do a series of posts around how I:
◆ Find inspiration
◆ Optimised my profile
◆ Leverage AI for drafting content
◆ Streamline my design & editing
◆ Find new leads
◆ Start cold conversations
Just let me know if that would be valuable or not
---
Back to my strategy, I also:
☑ Do some short-form video recording for 1-2 hours at some point in the week
☑ Try to spend at least 30 mins a day engaging my Skool community
☑ Try to spend at least 30 mins a day engaging in other Skool communities
These are not non-negotiable BUT are high up in my priority list!
---
I've attached some stats from Linkedin.
They are NOT mind-blowing BUT it is definitely working.
As a result of putting in this time, I've seen the following improvements:
✔ My posts are reaching more and more people
✔ I'm starting to get relevant connections and messages talking about my posts (and my services)
✔ My calendar is slowly filling up
I'm super pumped because if this is what it looks like after just over 30 days then I imagine what it will be like after 90 or 1 year.

I really hope that this inspires you to not only TAKE ACTION but be FOCUSED & CONSISTENT.
I reiterate I am NO expert here.
I shared this to show you that sometimes it takes time and a lot of effort for things to pay off.
BUT when you solve ONE problem for ONE persona and market yourself on the ONE right platform, good things will happen, even if results are a bit slow at the beginning!
