Introduction
Hello Slesh & everybody here! So excited - and nervous to be here. :)
I'm Christina Margaritoglou from Stockholm Sweden.
I actually work in all PMU areas:
  • microblading
  • powder brows
  • hair stroke brows
  • lipblush
  • eyeliners/lashliners, softed eyeliner
  • and just took a class in SMP - Scalp Micro Pigmentation.
I took my forst class in Microblading in 2018 but got terrified the more I learned and did clients, losoning my confidence. I had a 1 year break and from time to time made efforts to get the business going well, but I never manage that. I work as lash artist and there I've gotten clients easier and felt more confident. I've taken various classes since 2020 and 2022, 3 years ago I deciced i would put an extra effort into PMU and that I would give it 2 years. Since then I've taken more classes, in all areas, and I feel a bit scattered. Working with clients I realized I wanted to offer all kind of brow techniques, but unfortuanetely I feel I havent found my niche nor my signature style. I also feel that the more I get into it and the more I learn and see the results the more I loose confident. I constantly buy new pigments for brows and lips, feeling I never find the right shades. After all this years i still dont know what to expect after healing, and that really affects me. I'm actually considering giving up... I put so much time, money and effort and should be further. Maybe I should just accept that PMU isnt for me. But I love the work during treatment and the contact with clients, and making them happy (even if I myself seldom is) I don't understand how it could become such an obstacle for me to manage this area.
My wish is to be able to work 4 days/week with SMP & PMU, mostly nano hair stroke for clients with cancer or alopecia + areola (that gets refund from the government in Sweden). i still have the areola class to take haha.
Working with SMP clients, both men and women with hairloss
Until then I want to become better and provide services to all types of clients where I need to improve my skills in hairstroke brows, powderbros and lipblush
The Techniques I really want to improve in are:
  • hairstroke
  • powderbrows - the gradient
  • lips - colormix and even healed result
Struggles PMU:
  1. Aftercare for all areas.
  2. hairstroke technique
  • too wide blurry strokes. That heals uneven. Or just become a shadow
  • how to make the spine darker. When I do it it all looks clumpsy, smudgy and a mess. What needle to choose? same shade or darker?
  • I tend to choose too light shade having to do many passes
  • improve my technique so i dont traumatize the skin so much
  • learn how to wipe correctly, so i can see the result without damaging skin. I wipe too much so skin becomes irritated and the pigment fades.
  • finding some few patterns that can be used on many clients.
  • patterns for male brows
  • learn more how to make pattern on Alopecia clients
  1. Lips
  • choosing the right shade, I never manage to get it right. It always feel like a fluuk getting it right
  • Also I tend to use too much dilution since clients want very lightly blushed lips and Im too afraid making them too dense after healing, so instead theres nothig left after healing. I feel ashamed when they come back
  • the right technique of getting evenly healed lips (just watched a video with Slesh saying small steps 20% forward, i realize I do too fast and jump to much forward)
  • Lip neutralizatoin, hope I can send photos of clients lips before treatment how to choose.
Keeping me from getting clients:
1) I'm too invisible, dont dare to be seen in Social media. 2) Not being confident enough to show myself or my work 3) Not confident enough in my work result to start co operatpns with organizations for cancer or Alopecia which i would like to or to present myself in those communities 3) Maybe I'm too general and should be focusing or choose some technique that is my main areas (hairstroke, SMP; areola) but still be able to provide best result for other Techniques as well
4) I have changed locations many times. I rent rooms in beauty salons/clinics but have moved around a lot, which causes confusion among clinets and also like I have to "start from beginning" over and over again since, changing location makes you loose clients.
5) Also I've been experimenting with the pricing. Now I feel I'm too high (like 500 euros including touchup after 4 weeks) and that I cannot deliver result for that price. Just because people told me I have many years of experience and a lot of classes that i should charge more, but I feel the results doesnt match the price, so I feel uncomfortable and cannot sell the PMU services. &) I also got stuck in the pricing war, launching expensive campaigns on Meta for 50%, and still didn't get enough clients. I don't want to be stuck in the pricing war.
I hope to become confident in my work, so I can enjoy the treatment with clients, since I enjoy thiese meetings and conversations so much, making them feel more beautiful, confident and happy leaving the clinic. The best would be this scenarion and not having anxiety during or between the touchup, to see healed result. I want to feel that I can predict healed results more. I want to become better in hairstroke technique and also in choosing right shading in pigments for both brows and lips. Also to get some more ideas of how to find and attract premium clients. Become more confident on Instagram and also start a Tiktok account.
I work too much, and my next mission is to work less so I can have more free time. :) When I dont work I hang with my sister and some friends, go to gym, like to cook and listen to audio books or inspirational podcats on self development.
