AI Call This Week: What Do You Actually Want to Do With AI?
Hey everyone! 👋 I'm the new AI Lead inside BBC. @David Iya and I have been cooking up something good: a full AI track for this community. 🚀 On top of that, I'll be hosting live weekly calls. These aren't lectures, they're working sessions. Expect: - 💬 Your AI questions answered live - 🛠️ Hands-on builds when we're working through something new - 📚 Case studies from real members (yours, if you bring one) - ⚡ Quick-hit lessons on things that can't wait for the next course drop Every call gets recorded and uploaded to the classroom, so if you miss a session you can still catch up🎬 📅 First call is will be one of these times down below in the poll. Come as you are, and if you can't make it, look out for a post soon where I'll collect a thread of questions from you to get answered. I don't want this to be me talking AT you. I want to hear from you. Specifically: 1. How are you using AI in your business right now (if at all)? 2. What do you WISH you could use AI for but haven't figured out? 3. What's the one AI question you've been too embarrassed to ask? No wrong answers. The whole point of Thursday is for me to hear where everyone actually is, so the courses I'm building match what you need, not what I assume you need. Quick about me: I run Sunset Systems (AI Transformation Partner). I'm heavy on Claude and the Anthropic stack for business use cases. I co-host weekly education calls in Nate Herk's community and I'm bringing that knowledge here now as well. I also have a parallel community called Rising Tides which I've been building since December (currently a waitlist to get in for free before I launch). I've been in the AI game a while and I'm excited to elevate as many of you as I can. 💪 Excited to meet you all this week. More excited to build this track WITH you, not at you. 🤝

An Average Early Morning… In The Lab 🔬
Lately I’ve deeply shifted my focus back to what I do best: software, design, GTM, and positioning. My time in Y-Combinator taught me how to build software that enters the fiber of the world, it’s why so many companies that go through it pass the hundred year vision: Dropbox, DoorDash, Airbnb, Coinbase, Stripe; the list goes on and it tells a story. Solve real problems & the money will follow. It’s wild to think back to building my first multi- million dollar startup, Eze, and how the tech that took us years to build could now technically be done in months. I’m building more, and faster than I ever have before. The intersection between software and Skool is going to be something to pay close attention too in the coming years. We’re in a rare time in history, make sure you’re taking advantage of it. (Picture from when my cofounder and I first started the winter 2020 batch)

How I grew my community 48% Last Month
So I have been trying a few different ways to grow my community. Each trail runs for a few months 2-4 and I look at the following. Traffic: This tells me which send the most traffic to my about page. Conversation: This tells me which source sends the best people for my group. Time Spent: This give me an idea on how much effort it took to generate that result. These give me the true "cost" of each follower. Currently the two trails I have done are FB ads and Skool Networking. I finished FB ads where I had a 17% conversion rate from them with $10 day spend. Currently I am networking through comments and posts with 100 people a day. This just started so it will take 3+ months to compare. What methods have you seen and what have been the tradeoffs?
