"The anxiety spiral. Make it make sense...it doesn't and you can't. So STOP!" Many of us find ourselves drowning in anxiety spirals. We allow a thought or concern to spin out of control. These spirals are dangerous. When we step outside ourselves and analyze the spiraling behavior, we realize it doesn't make sense. The anxiety spiral will not change the outcome of a situation. It won't speed or slow the outcome down. The only thing it will do is cause chaos to ourselves- mind, body and spirit. Our minds are on constant overload replaying looped thoughts. Our bodies suffer from lack of sleep, poor eating habits and cortisol surges. And our spirits are dampened because we are not enjoying our lives. We are in the core of an anxiety tornado. The spinning needs to stop before irreversible damage occurs. How many of you can relate to this?
