Back in 1215, a bunch of English barons basically told their king, “You’re not above the law.” That moment — the Magna Carta — planted the first real seed of limited government. ⚖️
Centuries later, those same ideas — fair trials, consent of the governed, protection from tyranny — found their way straight into the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. 🇺🇸✨
It’s wild to think one royal reality check in medieval England helped shape American freedom.
So here’s the thought: if one act of standing up to power could echo for 800 years… what kind of principles are we planting today? 🌱
