Conflict
There is this idea I recently came across by Kapil Gupta who is the author of many books including Atmamun, saying that All conflict is self- conflict. When anger arises in us its not about how to deal with it but understanding why it arises in the first place?
Because there is no other. When someone calls you an idiot, something within you atleast partially accepts the idea that you are an idiot and that makes you uneasy which then brings out itself in the form of anger. And if there was no possibility inside you that you are an idiot the anger simply wont arise.
Anger and conflict are never about others; they reveal our own unexamined beliefs.
By understanding why they arise—by tracing them back to the doubt within—you can dissolve their grip. And when there is no shaky ground inside you, nothing outside can shake you. 🙏
