March 12 — Thought for the Day❤️🩹
Before we came into the program, most of us lived in conflict—with other people and with ourselves. Our drinking or using made life chaotic and relationships difficult. When we begin recovery, we start learning a new way to live: honesty, humility, patience, and service.
If we truly work the program, our lives begin to calm down. We become less self-centered and more considerate of others. Instead of reacting with anger or fear, we try to respond with understanding. Gradually, the turmoil inside us settles.
Question:
Am I learning to live in greater harmony with other people?
Meditation for the Day
I should try to live peacefully with others. Peace does not mean that there will never be disagreements, but it means that I seek understanding rather than conflict. When I rely on a Higher Power, I do not have to control everything or win every argument.
If I practice patience, kindness, and tolerance, I help create an atmosphere of peace around me. When I am calm inside, I can face the challenges of life without losing my balance.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may live in harmony with others.
I pray that I may contribute to peace instead of conflict.
