🔥 I just tried n8n’s Text-to-Workflow feature — here’s my honest take 👇
You’ve probably seen YouTubers showing off that “text-to-workflow” feature and thought — damn, n8n is replacing us workflow builders.
Well, I thought the same… until I actually tried it. 😅
So today, I tested it on one of my old n8n projects.
Gave it a detailed prompt, and within 3 minutes, it built the entire workflow.
I was like, “Whoa, that’s fast!”
But then… 💀
A code node error popped up, and after debugging a bit, I realized the workflow looked right but didn’t work right.
That’s when it clicked —
AI can give you the skeleton, but you still need to add the heart and brain:
API keys, HTTPS connections, code nodes, data logic — all the stuff that makes it actually run.
So yeah, it’s great for beginners to learn and test things quickly,
but for pros, it’s just a head start — not a full replacement.
