2 Weeks Gone?

It's been two weeks since I posted an update about my ongoing consultation work, so here I am to kick off a series of updates!

Recently I had the pleasure of working with a mid‑sized steel & alloys supplier. After three meetings we agreed on three AI systems to streamline their operations. Today I’d like to highlight the first one.

Their team was manually preparing customer invoices. They tried a third‑party app, but it required a paid subscription and still relied on shared spreadsheets, raising security concerns.

We proposed an automation built on a locally installed instance of n8n at no monthly cost. This workflow integrates with Google Drive and Google Sheets: it picks up the product screenshot uploaded to Drive, extracts the client name and product details, pulls the customer's address and tax information from a Google Sheet, generates an HTML invoice and converts it to a PDF—automatically.

We delivered this solution in just three days. The system now generates invoices instantly, saving the team time and eliminating subscription fees.
