Meta is now training AI on your Instagram photos by default
Heads up if you or your clients use Instagram for brand work. Meta flipped on a new AI image generator that pulls from your public Instagram photos by default, and the opt out is buried in settings.
Privacy groups are already calling it out, and SAG-AFTRA just told members to turn it off and protect their likeness. The flip side is that your photos, your style, and yes, your face can end up in AI generated images you never approved.
Worth a five minute check today. Open Instagram, hunt down the new AI settings, and opt out for any account you do not want feeding the machine.
