How are you planning to nurture yourself this weekend?
Lately, I’ve become very aware of how much I’ve neglected that part of myself. Self-nurture sounds simple, but somewhere along the way it slipped down the priority list. Right down to my bed sheets!
This week I finally treated myself to some beautiful new sheets and gave myself permission to snuggle in with a good book. It sounds small, but it felt significant.
The last 10 years have been incredibly busy. Owning a café and running my own business taught me how to work hard, solve problems, and get things done. And for that, I’m grateful.
But now I’m learning a different lesson.
I’m learning how to find balance between doing and non-doing.
Because I’ve noticed that it’s often in the quiet moments — when I’m not pushing, producing, fixing, or striving — that my connection with Spirit feels strongest. It’s where I can hear myself again. It’s where inspiration arrives. It’s where life feels less rushed and more meaningful.
And perhaps that’s what self-love looks like sometimes.
Not another thing to achieve.
Just permission to rest, receive, and reconnect.
