The Overwhelm Is Real... And it's ok :) x
So, I've come up with this brilliant idea, a place to get us all helping each other Do The Things, and not get overwhelmed and distracted etc. The irony of me being overwhelmed by the next steps and wrangling 5 million different ideas and ways this will work plus the many ways this could fail is not lost on me...🫠
I guess this is my first accountability post and proof of life (or proof of the awesome club I started....👀)... 😬
Life is hard, not everything works out as quickly as it does in our heads. Unfortunately. I know we all love to get caught up in the fun part of a new (or old) project/idea, we do ALL the research, buy ALL the stuff, picture swanning about already retired on our yachts... And then. Well. You know the drill 😂 there's usually ZERO yacht and we're over it already.
Now that our project needs some doing work and there's unknowns, plus the fear of failure and all the stuff we don't want to deal with. So we freak out/panic/curl up in a ball and run away and start something else that's new and shiny 🥲 Wait, this is depressing, where was I going with this?
Oh yes, my point: it's normal 😍 it's ok 🙏 you're allowed to be scared 🫣 you're allowed to fuck up 💃🏻 you're allowed to do all those things!!! Just be kind to yourselves. And of course, to each other. Let this be the space that allows us to check in and celebrate the small wins, the no wins, the mistakes, the good, the bad and the ugly. That's the way we are going to be able to DO THE THINGS. Happy Monday all the way from Cape Town, South Africa 🥳 xe
Share your recent good, bad and uglies if you're up for it! No pressure xxx
