So like I mentioned, I been cooking still even outside of the course and I made some developments on my insta page.
I had a few videos go viral - my biggest one having about 800k views now (screenshots old) and it left my monthly visits to my page at 1million- it wasnt art related content, however it still helped me push my content out there and I learnt a few things.
It is a win at the end of the day - and its pretty exciting - locally im starting to make somewaves.
Some of the things i learnt from this is- artistic content isnt everything-
What helped me get this exposure was content pillars and having a sort of funnel:
The video i made was shitpost, a meme essentially, which is the viral content- used to get reach and bring in a large influx of new audiences
Then, I have my creative work on my page- which showcases my actual creative abilities with editing and what im genuinelly passionate about - editing and vfx
Next I have my more personal content which is me talking to the camera or making day in the life videos- which help people see me as a real person outside of just a content creator- the idea is to create rapport
Through creating shitpost content ive learnt just how important hooks and storypacing is - which is taught a lot in this course- same principles but a different application.
Ultimately ive been learning a lot and ive been really working on my professional and personal brand.
