This white stripe had to be earned.
Our OL/TE unit just unlocked it—and it meant something.
We modeled it after D-Day. Officers had a white stripe on the back of their helmets.
The message to soldiers was simple:
“When you hit the beach, it’s going to be chaos—smoke, noise, confusion. If you get lost… find a white stripe and follow it. They’ll know where to go.”
We brought that into our program.
Our OL was told:
👉 “You’re the white stripe. When things get chaotic, everyone follows you.”
They don’t just block…They lead the way for our RBs.
We set a clear standard. They had to earn it.
When they did—we presented it at practice. And it was a big deal.
Because now it’s not just a stripe…
It’s a responsibility.
