My Proven Method for Finding Private Investors
When I first started in real estate, I made the rookie mistake of begging for money. Trust me, there's a better way to do this. The key is to adopt the "4SW" mindset...
—Some Will, Some Won't, So What, Someone's Waiting—
...and find investors without sounding desperate.
Here’s How to Do It:
Tap Your Network: Check your phone contacts for Centers of Influence (COI)—people who know everyone.
Ask the Right Question: Call them and ask, “Who do you know that wants to make a 12-15% return on their money?”
You’ll probably hear:
“I don’t know anyone with money” (rare from a COI)
“I know someone… let me introduce you”
“I’m interested in investing myself”
When referred, set up a meeting with the COI and their contact to build on their trust.
Key Tips:
Don’t Beg: Avoid directly asking if they want to invest. It sounds desperate. Let the COI introduce you instead.
Stay Relaxed: A laidback attitude encourages referrals.
Besides finding private investors, you’d also want to learn how to attract investors, persuade them, and know the legalities and the right documentation that you need to raise private capital without going to JAIL.
We will talk about this in detail tomorrow, July 10 at 8 PM EST. Comment "CAPITAL" below to get the link to this webinar.
