Have you ever made money outside of your JOB and current business? I wanna know (and brag about my own entrepreneurial past because...)
Tell me all the ways you've made money. No judgement. Bake sales, foot pics, whipping people (or being whipped)... anything goes...
And if you have never made money in *unconventional* ways, that's cool... take this opportunity to come up with some ideas! (Why? I dunno... it's fun...) Make a list of things you could do... list-making is the epitome of creativity, not talked about enough...
Mine:
- The beginning was good old tutoring my neighbor's kid back in middle and high school
- I ran a print magazine in college for film photography. Sold each issue for $13... which was $1 over the cost of the printing and shipping... it was never gonna pan out.
- I once taught people how to do hand-lettering (I have no idea why people were paying me because man I sucked!)
- I've made websites for people
- I took photos for artists' and actors' "portfolios"
- One artist couple hired me to design their yearly TriBeca artwalk booklet (24 pages, $1,350... covered that month's rent last minute... whew... NYC rent is no joke, even way back when).
- A chick in NYC paid me $5 to take her photo with my Polaroid... 👇
