Skidded Turn vs. Carved Turn
Skidded: Leaves a "crescent moon" shaped track behind the board during a turn. Speed is controlled by steering the board, using the edge to spray snow to the side
Carved: Leaves a thin pencil line track behind the board all the time. Speed is controlled by carving across the slope instead of steering the board.
