Just a moment of transparency. I’m not a doctor, physician, or therapist—but since I was a kid, I was always called “the professor.” I developed a mind that thrives on analysis and understanding systems. I’ve always needed to know why something works and how it fulfills its purpose.
The flip side of that gift is that, without direction, it can turn into over-analysis and obsession. If untrained, it becomes chronic overthinking. I’m sharing this because it sits quietly beneath much of what I’m building here.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of discerning your gifts and allowing God to shape them through purpose, not suppression. Many of us struggle because of the very skills we carry—when they haven’t yet been placed in the right context.
Once I understood this, I didn’t just understand why I had the struggles I did—I finally saw how those same traits were meant to be transformed into something useful, disciplined, and purposeful.
