Got late payments dragging your Equifax score down? Here’s a step-by-step method to challenge them directly inside the Kikoff app 📝
Step 1: Set Up Kikoff
- Download the Kikoff app
- Create your account
- Tap on Credit Report
Step 2: Get To Equifax Report
- Make sure you’re viewing the Equifax credit report inside the app
- Scroll until you see “Dispute”
- Tap New
Step 3: Spot Negative Items
- If late payments show up, you’ll see “Dispute Errors” or “Dispute More Errors”
- Tap it to start the process
Step 4: Select Late Payments
- Pick up to 5 late payments at a time
- Then confirm with “5/5 selected”
Step 5: Choose Your Dispute Reason
- Select: “Received COVID-19 pandemic accommodation from lender.”
- (This is a common and accepted reason for removal requests)
Step 6: Generate & Submit Letters
- Tap Next → Generate Letters
- Kikoff will handle sending them out
