Three weeks in, and the foundation is taking shape. Under the leadership of Charles Bwoye as Technical Lead, our team in Kampala with Phiona, Brian, and Eline is building something that will make a real difference.
What I can share: we are developing an AI-powered platform that addresses a fundamental gap in access to critical services across East Africa. The kind of gap where technology can genuinely change lives, not just optimize workflows.
The team is executing a 20 week development roadmap with weekly sprints, daily standups, and a level of discipline that would impress any tech company in Amsterdam or Berlin. This is not an experiment. This is a professional engineering team building production grade software.
Why this matters to me personally: I believe the next wave of AI innovation will not come from Silicon Valley alone. It will come from teams like this one, people who understand the problems because they live them, powered by technology that was not available to them two years ago.
We are combining AI, natural language processing, and voice-first design to build something accessible to anyone with a phone. In any language.
More updates as we hit our milestones.
Proud of this team which I created and helped in there journey to come to this point. You want to know more or you want to join just send me a message.
