I have a question / concern:
I had a guest booked for a week yesterday she checked in and then within hours I received a text from Airbnb about a water damage/mold issue in the condo. The guest stated that she cannot stay there because it smelled like mold- afterwards she also proceeded to say it was a basement and that she wasn’t aware.
After review airbnb canceled her stay and credit her the full amount and now charging me for cancellation, and disqualified me from super-host status and for putting the place back on for this week. They said it wasn’t describe as a basement and based on the pictures it is.
My unit is a stacked townhouse/condo- I have the main lower level 7 steps down from the main ground. When I purchased it they do not consider it as a basement but as a main patio level and when I leased it before and other listings that are there it’s also considered a main level not a basement.
I’ve only had Airbnb for 2 weeks now and just wanted some advise.
