Should You Migrate Your Bubble App to AI Code?

A founder asked me this last week.

I told him: Don't do it.

Right now, we're migrating 3 apps with thousands of users from Bubble to AI code.

It's an intense 3-5 month process. Full rebuild from scratch. Auth migration. Data migration. The works.

So when someone asks "Should I migrate?" my answer is a 20-minute-long it depends."

Because migration is NOT just a technical decision.

It's a business one.

You don't migrate for fun. You migrate for:

- Significantly faster feature iteration with AI code

- Better performance at scale

- Control over infrastructure

- Higher investor valuations

But it comes at a cost:

- You now own ALL infrastructure and security

- You have to fund the rebuild before seeing speed gains

- It's one step backward for two steps forward
