Okay besties… before everyone starts panic-canceling, rage-posting, or acting like the AI apocalypse just kicked down the front door…

Let’s talk FACTS.

Because this is exactly how misinformation spreads in the online & AI space.

Someone sees a misleading headline.

Someone else turns it into “this tool is shutting down.”

Then suddenly half the internet is making panic posts without checking the actual source.

And listen… I get it.

The headline floating around says Meta is reportedly dismantling a $2 billion Manus deal.

That sounds concerning.

But here’s where the internet started doing what the internet does best…

Taking one real thing and turning it into a five-alarm fear buffet.

I personally reached out to Manus support directly because I wanted actual information before repeating what everyone else was saying.

Here is what their support team told me:

“I don’t have any information in our knowledge base about Manus shutting down. There’s nothing in our official support resources indicating that Manus is closing or discontinuing service.”

They also said:

“Your subscription remains active and functional as normal.”

Then I sent them the article people were referencing.

Their response?

“This article is about a business deal between Meta and a different company that shares the ‘Manus’ name — it’s not about our Manus AI platform.”

They also confirmed:

“Our Manus product and service continues to operate normally. Your subscription is unaffected, and there’s no indication of any shutdown or discontinuation on our end.”

So let’s be very clear:

As of the direct response I received from Manus support, the Manus AI platform is not shutting down.

Your subscription is not currently affected.

There is no confirmed shutdown.

And the articles people are using to stir up panic appears to be about a separate entity that shares the Manus name… not the AI tool many of us are using.

And this is why I keep saying:

Stop letting fear-based content make your business decisions for you.

AI moves fast.

Tools change.

Companies pivot.

Platforms update.

Things get acquired, sunsetted, rebranded, merged, and tossed into tech drama soup every five minutes.

But that does not mean every headline is a crisis.

This is also why I will always tell you to build like a smart business owner:

Back up your work.

Know where your assets live.

Understand your subscriptions.

Do not build your entire business on one tool you don’t control.

And for the love of iced coffee… verify before you repost panic.

Because panic is not a strategy.

And fear-mongering is not thought leadership.
