I would like to gather insights on how you (AI agencies) manage compliance with regulations regarding user notification about AI usage, particularly in SMS and voice communications. Europe has the AI Act, with the evolving landscape of AI regulations in countries like the USA and UK, many organizations seem unaware of their obligations. As we know, both regions are increasingly focusing on transparency and user consent. In the US, while there isn't a comprehensive federal AI law yet (from what I know), guidelines are emerging that emphasize the need for clear communication when AI is involved. Similarly, the UK is advocating for a principles-based approach that encourages transparency. I’d love to hear from you:
- How are you ensuring compliance with these regulations?
- Are you including notifications in your SMS and voice communications to inform users that they are interacting with AI? (I guess this may lower conversion rates and is not easy to include in short SMS.)
- What challenges have you faced in this area?
- Do you have any agreements with clients that address responsibility for using AI and acting according to the law in the AI space?
P.S. I am looking to get into this AI industry and want to do it well. Ignoring the law might have consequences for us (agencies) and for our clients.
