(SEO/AEO/GEO) AUTOMATED Google AI Mode Citation Checking

This feels like a big win when so many people are bashing SEO!

Aside from any content creation challenges related to the evolving world of AEO/GEO/SEO, another challenge is how can you monitor your content's performance in AI Overviews and Google Search's new AI Mode.

Here's how I found some ways you can do it with DataForSEO's 'Get Google AI Mode SERP' module in Make. Depending on your desired use case, this automationIt can also help with:

Tracking whether certain competitors are featuring in AI Overviews/Mode
Discovering who is actually featuring in AI Overviews/Mode so you can reverse engineer what they are doing with their content that you might not be.

PS. As of 21st August 2025, this automation only works with UK and US location and language settings. (Expect that limitation to change in due course).
