The biggest upgrade most people can make with AI is not a better prompt. It is giving it a different job.
Most people ask it to produce the thing. Write the email, build the plan, draft the post. You get something average back, because average is what the middle of the training data looks like.
Try the opposite.
Write it yourself, badly and fast, then hand it over and ask it to pull the work apart. What is weak here. What would a sceptical reader push back on. What did I leave out that matters.
Critique is where it is strongest, and it is the only version where you actually learn something.
Your rough draft plus honest criticism beats its polished draft every time.
