Curious but stumbling around the AI wastelands...

Hello AI Peeps! I'm Aurora and and live in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I came here after watching & reading lots of Ash's posts about AI. I've also been following your AI newsletter.

I went from fearing AI of any kind. Picturing Skynet in the Terminator movies. I didn't want any apps controlling my home environment. Just pictured myself trapped and at the mercy of a robotic voice.

But then I dipped a toe into Chat Gpt and liked my friendly conversations with it.

It did a helluva job with my job hunt last year. I went from having a 100 applications just ignored, maybe because of ageism? 🤔 To getting a bunch of job offers (after having Chat Gpt help me reformat my resume & refocus) and working my first full-time job in years. But I do prefer being on my own again, and doing my own business.

I like the idea of using AI to streamline processes. But it's a work in progress... Procrastination is a big reason why I'd like to learn more and do all the things...
