AI 3D CAD is HERE...
I didn't expect this today, but KREA has rolled out AI Text to 3D CAD, and AI Image to 3D CAD in a consumer product anyone can subscribe to.
You CAN download it as an STL.
I don't know that this is usable yet, but highly promising. Why? Because AI capabilities are currently increasing at a 2x multiple every 3 months - and accelerating.
That means that by Q4 2025, we could actually be seeing usable 3D CAD that meaningfully provides value to the Design workflow.
Aside from that, AI Video and Images across multiple platforms are exploding with new levels of quality. Here's an example of what Runway is doing. (Runway is included in KREA, so we may see this in the tool once they make it API-available).
