Using AI for Language Learning 🌏
For the past 5 years, I’ve been on and off trying to learn Indonesian… and I’m still very much a beginner.
So this weekend, I made a decision 👉 change the environment.
I booked a flight out of Bali to a less touristy island... somewhere I can’t solely rely on English. In Bali, it’s just too easy to default back (especially when even my Indonesian friends speak great English). This time, I want to force real practice.
At the same time, I’m doubling down on using AI more intentionally.
I previously tried Talkio AI and loved the real time, adaptive conversations but without a mobile app, I didn’t stay consistent. Now I’m testing Aloa (mobile app) to bring that practice into my daily routine.
My WIN: The shift from “studying” a language to using it with AI in real-time conversations is where things are finally clicking.
Would love input from this group...
➡️ For those learning languages with AI:
  • What made the biggest difference in your progress?
  • How do you structure your practice day-to-day?
  • Any specific tools or setups you’d recommend?
Keen to learn what’s working.
(P.S. Yes… a bit impulsive, decided Saturday and flew out Monday morning 😅 pic from the plane below 👇)
