How I Built a Custom OpenClaw AI Tax Agent to Maximize My 2026 Refund Safely
Today, lets dive into the latest and most exciting news about OpenClaw. OpenClaw is rapidly changing how we handle daily tasks, and it is growing smarter every single day. One of the best new developments is how you can build custom skills to autonomously do exactly what you need. Think of a skill as a special superpower you give to your AI teammate. I recently decided to put it to the test to help with something we all deal with around this time of year, taxes.

In the video, I explain how I developed a custom OpenClaw skill to search and categorize all my business expenses. I could have let OpenClaw do the entire job from start to finish, but I decided to separate the tasks to keep my information extra secure. I did not want to give OpenClaw full access to read my private bank statements and personal receipts.
Instead of giving OpenClaw all my data, I built a custom Perplexity Space called the Business Write-Off Finder. Perplexity handles the private document viewing and sorting in a highly secure environment. This amazing tool carefully reviewed the records OpenClaw gathered for me. It applied the latest 2026 IRS business tax rules to find every possible deduction. The result was an absolutely perfect and completely itemized Schedule C form ready to send right to the IRS for easy review. This method gave me the maximum tax refund possible while keeping my sensitive financial data perfectly safe.
