The emotional cost of delayed follow-ups, not the operational one
Posting something I don’t see talked about much.
Leads don’t usually “go cold.”
They just wait.
A notification comes in.
You see it.
You plan to reply.
Then the day gets loud.
By the next day, replying feels… awkward.
By the third, it feels pointless.
So the lead gets labeled “not serious.”
But deep down, you wonder
if timing - not intent - was the real issue.
Not because you’re careless.
Because running a company eats attention quietly.
I’ve seen this happen to good founders
with real demand
and solid products.
It’s a strangely common problem
that almost no one admits publicly.
Open to know about your opinion?
