Phishing on Social Media
Day 5:
Social media platforms are a breeding ground for phishing scams. Be cautious of:
- Suspicious links or attachments
- Fake profiles or messages from "friends"
- Urgent or threatening posts
- Unrealistic offers or promotions
Example
You receive a message from a "friend" asking you to click a link to "check out this funny video". What do you do?
A) Click the link
B) Ask your friend if they sent the message
C) Block the message and report it as spam
