How to add £717 to your ad budget by drinking coffee at home!

Did you know you can save up to 65% of your coffee budget over the course of a year by investing in your own coffee gear and making great coffee at home rather than spending money at your local high-street coffee shop!

These figures are based in the UK, but you'll get the picture regardless of where you live.

First what would a possible coffee budget look like? Lets do the math.

There are two of you in the home and you each drink 1 coffee 5 times a week.
Cost of coffee: £3.50
Weekly cost: 10 coffees/week×£3.50 per coffee = £35 per week
Annual cost of high street coffees: £35 per week×52 weeks/year = £1820 per year

Now lets look at the cost of espresso at home.

You spend £600 on a very decent home espresso machine (grinder inbuilt)
You buy coffee for £30/kg and make 40 coffees from that = £0.75/coffee
Milk costs £1.20/L, and make 6 coffees from that = £0.20/coffee
Annual cost of home Latte: 520 coffees/year×£0.95 per coffee = £494
Annual cost of electricity: 520 coffees/year×£0.0167 per coffee = £8.68
Total cost: 600 + 494 + 8.68 = £1102.68

You SAVE £717.32 over a year, without missing out on a thing 🤯

That's a £2/day Meta ad for a year! ... not too shabby 😁, who knows the return on that beauty.

If you spread the cost of the espresso machine over 5 years, you would have a saving of approximately 65.79% per year compared to buying coffee from the high-street.

Now, I happen to be a big fan of coffee shops :), but this was an interesting exercise.
