Read First: How to Post and Claim Regional Work
Nobody covers every market. If a call comes in for a job you cannot reach, post it here instead of turning it down. If work lands in your backyard, this is where you find it. When you post a job, give operators enough to say yes or no without a back and forth. Region and drive radius, date window, the actual deliverable the client expects, aircraft or sensor required, certifications or site access needed, budget or day rate, and how to reach you. Vague posts sit unanswered. When you claim one, comment with your home base, similar work you have flown, and a sample or link. Then move to DM. Keep the thread clean so the next person scanning the board can tell what is still open. Two ground rules. Only post work you actually hold, not something you are hoping to win. Verify the other operator's Part 107, insurance, and any site specific requirements yourself before you hand off a client. AeroVis hosts this board. We do not broker, vet, or guarantee any agreement made on it. What you sign is between you and the operator you sign it with. REGION: DATES: DELIVERABLE: PLATFORM / SENSOR: REQUIREMENTS: RATE: CONTACT:

Welcome to the AeroVis Ready Room
Welcome aboard. I'm Kevin Padilla, founder of AeroVis Drone Solutions. I spent 20 years in Army aviation, have been flying since 2014, and fly helicopters in air medical operations today. I built this room for people who want to grow in drones and learn from each other's experience. You might be studying for Part 107 or working through a problem on a paid job. Bring the questions that matter to you. First flight to first contract. Start wherever you are. Every section is open from day one. If you're studying for Part 107, open the Classroom. The full ground school recording includes timestamp links so you can return to a specific subject. It's a free study aid, not a pass guarantee. Use Equipment for aircraft and sensor questions. Operations is for planning and flying the mission. Software covers processing and deliverables. Business is for pricing, finding clients, and the decisions involved in running your operation. The Contracts board is for work you actually hold and need help covering. Read its pinned instructions before posting or responding. Sharing an opportunity does not guarantee anyone work. Check the Calendar for upcoming Live Sessions. The current classes run 90 minutes, with an hour of instruction followed by 30 minutes for questions and scenarios. Look in Recorded Sessions + Highlights for available replays. Introduce yourself in the comments. Tell us where you're based and what you're working toward. Then open the Calendar and choose a session you can attend. Glad you're here. Kevin
More ways to learn in the Ready Room
I've been talking with people across the industry and connecting with others who want to grow alongside us and share what they know. There are so many directions we can take with drones. I want this community to give us access to experienced mentors who can help us explore those opportunities and figure out what fits our goals. We’re working on bringing in coaches in these areas: • Thermography • Drone operations • AI integration into businesses The plan is for each coach to host a monthly seminar focused on their area of expertise. They’ll walk us through practical use cases and introduce tools or approaches we may not have considered. For those who want more focused support, we’re also working on a way to connect directly with these coaches for one on one guidance. Our goal is one seminar in each area every month. We’re still working out the details, and I’ll share the coaches and schedule as they’re confirmed. Which of these areas would you most like to dig into first? Is there another area youd be into?
Congratulations to Leann
Congratulations to @Leanetta Jessie. I'm not surprised. She put in the work and she understood the material. She correlated the information and knew why the answers were right, and she'll carry that into the field. Next up, she's starting her own business. Leanetta, we're standing by for whatever you need as you get it off the ground. Look out for our webinars we are doing the live courses all the time!
Common Situations with Class E
Here are a couple of videos talking about some common issues when dealing with Class E. Class E airspace is the one of the more simple to deal with, but can still be confusing in its own right. Take sometime to just check out what we are talking about. Come to the next session, Join, ask questions and stay for follow on topics. We have a good one!
