• Video-first podcasting will dominate, making RSS-based audio-only distribution only part of the mix.
• Monetization models will shift toward AI-driven ads, revenue sharing, and microtransactions.
• Listener personalization will soon allow real-time customized podcast experiences.
• Large Platform control will increase, reducing the role of open RSS in favor of direct uploads.
Podcasting as we know it will not “die,” but it will evolve beyond recognition, with AI and Large Listening and Viewing Platforms playing a central role in its future.
