The first thing that goes
Most rehearsal cuts aren't planned. You hit a line, you flinch, you start trimming the bit you've been protecting. The cut usually points at the line you weren't ready to defend yet.
I notice it in my own prep too. The first thing to go is usually the boldest claim I haven't earned the words for yet.
