As entrepreneurs, it's easy to fall into the trap of trying to please everyone or feeling like we should bend over backward for leads and clients. But here's the reality: You're running a business, not a charity.
I'm incredibly grateful for every lead and every client, but I also recognize that running a business comes with costs. The time, energy, and resources I put into my work have value. If I can’t negotiate those costs with the mentors and vendors I rely on, why should I let others negotiate my rates?
It’s important to set boundaries, stand by the value of your services, and trust that the right clients will see and appreciate what you bring to the table.
If you’re finding yourself constantly being asked to lower your rates or compromise your value, remember: your business is your livelihood, and no one else gets to set its worth but you. 💪🏾
