For me, I would define burnout as when my output per unit of time decreases. I can see that that's measurable; I can quantify things like the number of pages that I edit or the quality of the content that I create. Essentially, my output per unit of time diminishes. The team knows when I'm six or seven hours into recording something because they can literally see me start to slump physically. I just begin to slump; I'm just not as sharp. There is that distinction versus emotional burnout, which I think people mislabel as burnout when, really, it's just that they don't know how to reframe reality.
Pain is often a creation of the mind. You can choose to reframe your thoughts instead of labeling them as burnout. By shifting your mindset, you unlock new energy and clarity for your work.
