Teen Weight Loss Journey Explained
In the video "Trying to Lose Weight as a Teenager" from Leila Hormozi, as a kid, I looked at other girls and thought, "Wow, they're a lot smaller than me." Not to mention, I was also a little taller, so that didn’t feel good either. I just felt like I was big. I say that, but that’s really what I used to think. I used to think, "Oh my gosh, I’m fat and ugly." I remember girls in the grade above me telling me, "If you're fat and ugly, you're just never going to do anything. You're never going to have friends, you're never going to get a boyfriend," and I remember thinking, "That makes sense." So I turned it around. I learned how to start working out when I was about 14. I would go to the gym; I would lift, and I would run. Those were the two things I did. I started doing that regularly. I started eating more, but I was making very healthy choices. I counted my food, I measured my food; I was just very meticulous. Actually, the crazy part is I was voted health nut in high school, and I felt good about myself.
