๐Ÿ’ช Commit Fully: What would you do without half measures?
Alex Hormozi explains a speaking event for personal trainers. He prepares a long presentation about fitness sales. He learns that it's important to fully commit to selling or not sell at all.
  • ๐ŸŽค Deliver value before asking for sales.
  • - โณ Avoid half measures in presentations.
  • - ๐Ÿ”„ Commit fully to your chosen approach.
Commit Fully or Face Resistance
In the video "No Half Measures" from Alex Hormozi, I got asked to speak at this personal trainer conference, and I was told, "Yeah, I blocked 4 hours for you." That's a lot. I had such a long speaking slot that I thought, "Well, I'm not going to pitch for 4 hours." I made this really long presentation that was just very, very good on fitness, sales, and marketing, and all that kind of stuff. At the end, I was like, "Yeah, and here's the prize," and I dropped it. So I did what would have been a 90-minute presentation pitch in like 15 minutes after giving 3 hours plus of value, and I got so much resistance from the crowd. I think I made two sales; like, it was nothing. The moral of the story, though, is that I had done a half measure, and so it's either sell or don't.
Speaking for hours does not guarantee success. People need clarity, not confusion. Focus on delivering value, then pitch firmly; this approach converts better and builds trust faster.
In his recent talk, Alex Hormozi shares insights from a personal trainer conference where he delivered a rich three-hour presentation that ultimately faltered during a rushed sales pitch, highlighting the pitfalls of half-hearted efforts. This experience powerfully illustrates that total commitment is crucial for success, whether in sales, business strategies, or personal goals. By emphasizing the necessity of fully engaging in endeavors without hesitation, Hormozi inspires us to evaluate our current approaches and consider where we might be holding back.
