šŸ’ŽI almost quit coaching... until I figured THIS outšŸ’Ž
When I started with coaching, i almost quit. Not that I didnā€™t careā€¦ I was drowning in noise. Everyone has their ā€œsecretā€ to business advice. ā€œthis is the ONLY wayā€ ā€œno, no. THIS is the only wayā€ It felt like being in a big cold room with 10 people shouting at me all at once. The more I tried to listen to all of them, the more stuck I became, like trying to escape quicksand. Iā€™d write these big, perfect plans. Then hit one bump and think, ā€œmaybe iā€™m not cut out for thisā€ but hereā€™s what changed everything: - I picked ONE person to follow. - I blocked out the noise. - and i trusted the process. ... made $997 in ~30 days (crazy stuff) It wasnā€™t easy trusting the process. At first, I kept thinking ā€œwhat if iā€™m wrong?ā€ The mistake was jumping around all the time. When we finally stuck to one proven path. Things started to move. and this community? this is why iā€™m here. ted carr has been the example of what happens when you focus. Heā€™s built something incredible by showing up, simplifying the process, and leading with clarity. If youā€™re feeling overwhelmed, listen to this: You donā€™t need 10 voices. You donā€™t need another shiny ā€œsecretā€ Pick one path. Trust it. And watch what happens when you follow through. Anything can happen in 30 days. so hereā€™s my question for you, contentpreneurs: if @Ted Carr handed you a GIANT neon sign to keep you focusedā€¦ whatā€™s the ONE word youā€™d put on it? šŸ‘‡

Black Friday Backfire
Last Black Friday, no one bought, I had no one to upsell, worst of all: bank doesn't know my nameā€¦ the plan was simple: 1. find an influencer 2. they would tell their friends about me 3. the rest would be history My eyes were filled with dollar signs I expected: - they'd buy my stuff for $1 - I'd upsell them - I'd walk out with the banks not knowing what to do with all my money! but.. none of that happened how many times have you thought that? better yet - how many stories have you heard of other entrepreneurs doing that? "last night I went to bed with nothing. this morning I have $1M in my bank! (it's easy, I'll show you how)" well... it's not always sunshine and kittens unfortunately šŸ± those stories are interesting to us because they are a phenomenon, they are exceptional because they are an exception to the norm (Hormozi style šŸŽ©). in these cases people either: 1. got lucky 2. they know what they're doing for me though, I was not lucky and THOUGHT I knew what I was doing. How many times were you afraid to try something and decided you would not do it because of that fear? that was me. I ALMOST backed out. - "what if no one buys?" - they didn't - "what if my funnel's not ready?" - it wasn't - "what if my solution isn't ready?" - I had only an outline - "what if people comment negatively about me?" - they didn't but instead - I thought, "What would I do in this case if I knew I couldn't lose?" I'm proud of myself for that because, I was scared and I did it any way. you know... Courage is a muscle that takes training to build. Courage is an active verb - you must FEEL scared and you must STILL act. once I thought of it that way, my mindset shifted - especially once I mentally committed to going through with it. - "if no one buys - I'll learn more from the experience of failing than I would by not trying this" - "if my funnel's not ready, and they DO ask to buy - I'll put them on a waitlist (google form) then either get on the phone with them to let them buy it there or I'll let them buy it after Black Friday through my funnel." (time is an incredibly scarce asset - do not waste time building stuff unless you're certain people will use it.) - "while my offer is visible to the influencer's audience, how can I watch and gauge performance? how can I adjust in real-time to shift the odds in my favor?"

@Toby Bollen I paid him for the space, yeah. 0 DMs, had no way to attribute the traffic to this pinned comment to my website
Why is everyone doing it alone?
I feel like if just a couple of people here got together, they would be able to scale one community 100 times faster than if they all did it individually. The only bad thing is a revenue share, but in my eyes, 20% of $10,000 is better than 100% of $0 haha. I have one idea that I believe people will love so if you would like to join me, feel free to shoot a dm :)

Strategic Partnerships and Joint Ventures (JVs)
I plan to lean into a topic I haven't spoken much about here yet - Strategic Partnerships and Joint Ventures (JVs). it's something I plan to learn more about and explore. I've also be involved in introducing some startups to very large orgs (1B -> 1T+ sized orgs) and want to explore what it's like to do that more often - but I have a lot to learn. If you're working for a company, this topic will benefit you in career growth as well since finding ways to partner with other people within your company will build your network. It will also help to improve your leadership, attention, communication, and collaboration (LACC). These are the four core pillars my community is built upon. Strategic partnerships and JVs are critical in business and most small businesses, even well-funded startups, do not take full advantage of them. Guess who DOES actively seek out strategic partnerships and JVs though - the big dogs. The large orgs know the power and insane growth potential of these structured relationships. why do you think they use them and smaller companies tend not to? oddly enough, even though small orgs benefit the most from these types of relationships since they tend to lack great distribution channels. here's why they don't use them: - smaller orgs either don't know about them - don't know how to do them well - or feel they don't have enough to offer someone else to create a strategic partnership. being able to thoroughly distribute a high-quality solution to a wide array of clients through an established org in the market short-cuts your biggest issue (not enough people not knowing about you) how does this apply to ME in Skool though? - you can strategically partner with another community - you can partner with a large content creator - you can partner with the owner of an entire engagement group org - you can partner with a small local business - partner with a SAAS - partner with a Medium -> Large Org it doesn't have to be a partnership on distribution but that's a big one for most biz - you're unknown by most people and so people don't buy your stuff.
