IT system clarification
Hi fellows, this is George from Romania. I’ve been in solar since 7 years by now, and the last 2 years were full of BESS as well. My activity was related especially on solar inverters, transformer stations and full BESS configuration. As a first topic for this channel, I would like to share a case related to solar inverters which support only IT system configuration, but they are connected to a TN-C system (dyn11 as vectorial group for TF station for example). Such cases I met multiple times on site and found the IGBT failure. What’s your experience for such topic and how do you think you can prevent?

Well i think the attachment shows it :) happens often in all transformerless inverters.
Before buying more “AI”, what’s the one bottleneck you’d fix first?
Hello everyone, I'm digging into the friction of signal to action and learning how to turn alerts into real fixes on time for the solar energy operations. If you could fix one thing that would boost throughput for most operators, what would it be? Pick one (or add your own): A. Interoperability: alerts flow into work orders fast and clean. - Alert → Work Order sync ≤ 5 min - Device → asset mapping ≥ 98% - Fields don’t get lost (≤ 1% loss) - Status sync both ways Note: For mixed-vendor fleets, mapping is often <98% and alert→WO >15 min, which makes tickets explode from noise. What cutoffs do you use instead? B. Automate low-level office work - Auto-triage - Work orders pre-filled with context - Status + reports auto-updated - Admin time ≤ 12 min/WO C. Parts & first-time fix - Right parts picked ≥ 85% - First-time-fix ≥ 75% - Better routing + diagnostics D. Closeout & reporting - Proof on tickets ≥ 95% (photo/measure) - Report time: ops ≤ 24h, client ≤ 72h - Views matched to audience E. Something else: name it + one example I'll compile your feedback into a 1-page Readiness Checklist (with pass/fail cutoffs + “no-go” rules) and share it here. Many thanks in advance!

I would say A& B, triage and fast alert to workorder is the most important one. With B a bit more because a good triage is where the difficulty is. And requires an experienced (what we call) TAM (Technical asset manager).

yup you want to strive to single pane of glass with all the info for a TAM. Everything to get there needs to be done by someone else and as automated as possible to comply with SLA's. Problem in this first part is that the information flow is most of the time not fast enough so in the end it's the TAM doing it all.

Hello All, I'll do the first introduction :) Tom Damman, Re-Power We maintain around 200MW of PV and are adding BESS too, mainly in Belgium but also in other EU countries. Next to this we offer services in Europe like commissioning, troubleshooting,... Experience since 2007, so almost 20 years of solar experience. Main goal here is to connect on a EU level with other O&M parties to expand my network. And have a sparringpartner for developing best practices.
