    In my experience, it definitely doesn't hurt to try this. I did one during a recent workshop and had a couple of promising leads reply. It did at least wake up a few people who might have not been paying much attention to my recent communications. Just a couple days ago I tried using a text with an offer/incentive to try to get some of my campaign leads to bite on openings today and next Friday. That one didn't garner any bookings, but they didn't reply with STOP either. I plan to do this again in a different way once my brand image/audit lead magnet is fully finished. I'll keep you posted!

Your business puts off a personality - that's your BRAND. Either accidentally or intentionally, when people think of your business, products, or services they get a feeling about them. For example, when you think about Starbucks vs. Black Rifle Coffee Company, you get a different feeling right? Take a look at the graphic below, sit with your team, and start having a conversation about what your brand represents NOW. Then take a step back and answer the questions. How do you WANT to be perceived? Who does your dream customer need you to be? Really think about that. Once you decide, then what do you need to change? Does your logo represent that new personality? Your colors? Your website? How do you answer the phone? It goes deep. 👉 I want you to answer the poll right now, to answer with your GUT instinct.     Funny that I voted on this post, but totally didn't rememberthatt when I started going on and on about basing my headshot marketing on Brand Identity! And my gut was right - I come up as a Creator nearly every single time I walk through any version of questions that lead to these answers. I'm totally fascinated by enneagrams, personality tests, etc. Another one that I really love is "Fascinate: How to make your brand totally irresistible" by Sally Hogshead.

    I'm late to the game in terms of my take aways, but that's because I've been busy writing my 10 emails! I've got 8 of them done, and the ideas for #9 are ready in the wings. What I found challenging was breaking out of the pattern of writing emails with a tone of selling, and shifting to explaining problems, solutions, busting myths, giving away expert advice. Once I got going, the ideas started pouring out like mad! I'm already thinking beyond the initial 10, jotting ideas down for blogs and ongoing informative emails that can keep the touchpoints going.

    @Brad Parnell hey! I'd love to hear what ideas you can come up with. I have a few thoughts of my own, but I'm looking for some things that are a little out of the box perhaps. I jotted down a flurry of ideas during the DIY workshop last week. As I mentioned there, my challenge is having something that is truly compelling/valuable to the end client when we consider the more unique portrait products I offer. Regular photographic work and headshots lend to lots of ideas, but what's of value (and not overtly sales-ey) to the person I'm trying to reach for high end luxury painted portraits or creative composites?
