Did anyone break the guitar out?
I hope you had a chance to break your guitar out for Thanksgiving! My kids (8,6,4, and 2 years old) wanted to sing: “real gone” from the Cars movie soundtrack. “Ain’t no rock” a family favorite I’ve not found an original artist for. “Praise” by elevation worship. “Horse with no name” (my 8 year old played on his guitar) And the Doxology. What did you play?

I played the set for Sunday working with metronome to improve timing when adding 8th and 16th note strumming. Also worked on paying songs with capo and different chord voicings. Finally I did some exploring of triads on top 3 strings and found a few more ways to play D higher on the neck. My son is sick so I stayed home all day and had lots of time on guitar.
Another oh come version.
For @Tim Silvers and who ever else is interested.

@Jonathan Redfearn I can play it! Needs practice but doable. I'm going to print this and play off this sheet instead on the one in music stand.
Weekend challenge!
Post your progress! For bonus points, what are those chords with the capo where it is?

B and E. I played a song in key of B last week and did capo 4 so I could play G shapes. I'm learning to transpose chords in my head so I don't need to mark up the chord sheet when I capo.
Post your progress!
Make a cell phone video of a song you’ve been practicing or of you playing something. Anything! Just as long as you are playing the guitar in the video. Everyone that posts a progress video wins. (Your prize is the glory of being a winner.) Everyone who doesn’t win … looses. I’ll go first.

@Jonathan Redfearn Working on Phillips Craig and Dean Revelation Song in D for this Sunday. I love this song! One of my new favorites. Fortunately I'm only playing rhythm acoustic not singing, so ignore vocal mistakes, LOL

@Jonathan Redfearn thank you!
O come o come emmanuel advice
@Jonathan Redfearn could you please advise how best to play this song on acoustic? I can't even tell what Key it's in. Not G as shown in header. Not quite G minor or F minor but close. It seems if I capo on 2 I could play most chords easier but not all. Lee tells me "welcome to Christmas music". I see now why you suggested I join church band after Christmas last year 😆

@Jonathan Redfearn Your comment at the end recommending to not do this song was spot on. LoL. but assume I do have to play the version that I originally posted....Do you have any other advice other than prayer?
