@Paul Lewis Great question — and definitely not too personal to ask! Yes, the website is linked to the Skool payment system, so if the membership is cancelled or a payment is missed, access to the website through the group does pause. BUT — you still keep the Google Business Profile I set up for you. That alone can keep bringing in leads for years. Also, if you ever decide to cancel the membership but want to keep your website, I can move it over to a standalone plan for $280/year — so you won’t lose it. Totally up to you. Appreciate your thinking ahead — smart move using a separate card just for business stuff too. Let me know if you’ve got more questions!

Hey legends! 👋 Who am I & what do I do? 🦄 I’m Hunta, the founder of Mowex — a new lawn care business focused on affordable, flat-rate mowing with fast, reliable service and a simple structure. Just kicked things off and loving the journey so far! 💚✂️ My goal for 2025? 🎯 To scale Mowex into one of the most trusted lawn services in my area and eventually expand into nearby suburbs with a small team. I’m aiming to build a strong client base and run a systemised business that runs smoothly and profitably. My biggest challenge? 🌋 Finding the balance between marketing, consistency, and not burning out — especially while doing everything solo in the early days. I also want to stay on top of content creation while managing jobs and customer service. Excited to connect with all of you and learn from your journeys 🙌 Drop your tips, tools, or words of wisdom if you’ve been where I am! 💭 Let’s grow 🍃

Nice. Welcome to the group, Hunta. I love the logo. The first year or two are the hardest. You are right about systems; they make the difference between a business that's going somewhere and a business that's not. My plan this year is to break the whole process of growing a profitable lawn business into simple steps & systems. We have done that in our business. My wife and I work 20 hours each in our business, our daughter works 10 and we are turning over just under 200K a year. You are in the right place

@Hunta Rupene Good plan. A lawn care business is a great lifestyle business when you have a young family. I'm doing a Zoom coffee hour tomorrow morning but it will be around 6am your time. https://www.skool.com/lawnmowing101-free/calendar?eid=da7722f8ce344d2d924a204c28f39aa1&eoid=1749758400 If that's a bit early, we can arrange a zoom call for sometime next week.
About me
- Who you are and what you do?🦄 - I’m Paul and right I’m going to school for architecture and engineering. - What's your goal for 2025? 🎯 - My goals for 2025 is to help my uncle with his business, and pass my classes with good grades. - What's your biggest challenge? 🌋 - My biggest challenges has been working on maintenance on my uncle’s lawn care company. I didn’t realize how much parts for mower costs. Right my uncle is still a small business so he is paying all the parts and insurance for the company out of his pocket. Also right now he is having issues paying customers because he small business but he adds up all the yards we do then divide it by how many people work plus on for the company but sometimes it is only $10 we get for a whole day. Ex $15+$30+$20=$65 an let’s say 3 people work plus the company so divide $65 by 4 you $16.25 for the day each person gets plus the company that’s not much money.

Hey Paul. I appreciate you sharing that. Sounds like you’re juggling a lot with school and helping your uncle run the lawn care business. That’s no small thing. And yeah, you’re spot on maintenance costs can hit hard, especially when the business is still small. Parts, fuel, insurance… it all adds up real quick. What your uncle’s doing trying to keep things going and still look after everyone that’s tough, but it shows heart. How many people is he employing right now?
