I've been making a lot of progress on my company toucan.ee and I'm trying to figure out how to land clients. I'm good at communicating. I've been learnign from @Hilary Torn on how to do social media . I have started doing once a week posts on linkedin about the things I am developing. I post it on my site and then post it to the linkedin paltform. I am getting likes and all. I want to figure out from advice from you guys on how to land that first real client. Yo Monday gang. What's the goal this week? I'm working on securing a client for an ecomm report SAAS. Had the verbal yes on Friday, contracts out last night, now waiting for the go ahead. Question for the group: Is anything thinking about their Portfolio split? Right now, mine is pretty lopsided. Revenue split: - 10% Affiliate (Framer. Railway.com) - 90% Client work Dec to Feb are historically dead for me so I have a couple months to work on a rebalance. If I can come out of December with a few interviews lined up, an MVP in front of some friends .. I'll be on the way. Aspirations are set closer to this .. - 30% long-term work contract - 30% client - 30% SAAS products - 10% Affiliate, fun, random experiments That way I can dip in and out of ideas more freely without dipping into my runway, too. Where are you at and where do you wanna move towards? Are you happy with your split or experimenting?
