We haven’t shared this publicly before, but I wanted to share a piece of our testimony. Earlier this year, our son was diagnosed with metopic craniosynostosis. Long story short—his brain didn’t have the room it needed to grow. His case fell into a “gray area,” so surgery wasn’t considered urgent, but the doctor felt he would likely still need it later. After prayer, we decided to move forward while we had the space to choose and weren’t in a crisis. His diagnosis had already caused developmental delays, and we didn’t want to risk waiting and potentially causing long-term harm to his development. After a long five-month wait, we were finally able to get Zachariah in for surgery. Almost one month ago, he went in. During this time, our marriage was already shaken by other things, and this diagnosis definitely added pressure. HOWEVER—God used this season to show us who He is and what He is capable of. Now, one month post-op, our son is saying more words than ever before. He’s back to jumping, playing, and running the house! We are so thankful to God. He gets all the glory and honor. Since surgery, our hearts have been tugged to wholeheartedly seek God. We’ve been praying daily—even including our son—and consistently reading the Word of God. We’re excited to renew our marriage and recommit ourselves to this platform. God is faithful. 🤍
